Located just 20 minutes west of Hinesville and Fort Stewart, just north of Ludowici, Georgia, Sticky Limb Stables provides quality boarding services for your horse at an economical price. We also offer riding lessons for all ages and levels, trail rides and horses/ponies for parties and other events.

The owners, Christine & Thomas Fisher, opened the stables in April 2015.

Boarding

Sticky Limb Stables offers the following boarding services:

• Pasture board with 24 hr hay & water access
• Two riding arenas; one large, one small
• Feed up to twice a day
• Supplements or medications: If you pre-package, we will put in feed at no additional cost
• Round pen
• Concrete wash rack
• Trailer parking (space is limited)
• Hauling services to vet, etc. for a fee
• Daily exercising of horse (ask about fees)
• Regular chiropractor visits to property
• Regular farrier services on property who also can float teeth.
• Flunixin meglumine (Banamine) & penicillin on site for a fee.

Lessons

The focus of our Lesson Program is not only on riding, but what we call the entire horse ownership package. You will not be just a rider on a horse. You will learn everything you need to own, ride and care for your own horse. Lessons given by appointment only, on site in the following methods: basic Western riding and Barrel Racing. Some English instruction is available upon request.

 Items Required
1) A Liability Waiver and/or Riding Agreement MUST be completed and signed prior to coming in contact with any animal.
2) All riders under the age of 18 MUST wear all required safety gear.
3) Some form of closed toe footwear. While boots are not required, the soles should not be too rugged.

Private Lessons

Our private lessons are recommended for first time riders, young riders, timid riders or those looking for specialized instruction. Private lessons may be scheduled Tuesday thru *Saturday between 11:00 am and 8:00 pm & Sunday between 10:00 am and 8:00 pm. Riders current riding level will determine length of lesson. Lesson length is increased as students riding level advances which allows for a safe lesson for both horse and rider. *Saturday horse show dates may affect availability. **Summertime temperatures may also dictate shuffling times to allow riding during cooler times of the day to prevent harm to the horses.

Group Lessons

Our group riding lessons may include up to three riders and horses in the ring being taught by a single instructor. (Siblings, couples, or more advanced riders ) These too may be scheduled Tuesday thru *Saturday between 10:00 am and 8:00 pm & Sunday between 11:00 am and 8:00 pm. *Saturday horse show dates may affect availability. **Summertime temperatures may also dictate shuffling times to allow riding during cooler times of the day to prevent harm to the horses.

Trail Rides

Trail rides for beginner or experienced riders. We provide the escape into the countryside for an hour while you enjoy a guided horse trail ride.  Trail rides begin at $45/hr/person. Trail rides are by APPOINTMENT ONLY.  You can book a ride Tuesday thru Sunday 11am-8pm.  *Saturdays availability may be limited due to many riders from the Stables attending horse shows - please call to check availability.  **Summertime temperatures may also dictate shuffling times to allow riding during cooler times of the day to prevent harm to the horses.

• All horses are well trained and experienced trail horses.
• Friendly, knowledgeable, experienced guides help make a truly enjoyable riding experience.
• Groups are welcome.
• Please call at least an hour prior to reserve an appointment.
• All riders must wear shoes that cover their entire foot.  

1 hour rides

Includes a ride along a private road out and returning through wooded trails. Weather and/or hunting season may dictate an alternate route along county roads. 

2 hour rides

Includes a ride down to the local country store, where you can buy drinks for the remainder of the trip, along  country, dirt & paved roads in mostly tree covered areas. 

Pony Parties

Need a fun theme for your next party? We offer  Pony Parties. Handled pony and horse rides are offered to children and adults of all ages. Our ponies are safe, calm and quiet. We can bring our ponies/horses to your location. We have provided ponies for, church groups, birthday parties, and more. We can tailor activities to meet your group's age and interests. Group events are scheduled year-round. Please contact us for availability and pricing.

1 hour /2 horses

Includes at least 1 pony and 1 larger horse to ensure both children and adults can ride. Horses can possibly be decorated/dressed to fit a themed party.

2+ hour or multiple horses

If you would like to add additional time or horses, both can be arranged for additional fees.  Please contact us and discuss your plans and see what works for you.    - As the welfare of the animals is a priority, high temps and/or severe weather may dictate limiting times.

Photo Rentals

Want to include a horse in your wedding photos, or do a family photo set with one of our horses as a prop?  Give us a call and discuss a fun theme . Our ponies are safe, calm and quiet and we bring our ponies/horses to your location. Please contact us for availability & pricing.

Customer is responsible for setting up and paying the photographer for their services. SLS only offers the horse for use in the shoot.

1 hour /1 horse

Includes at least 1 pony or 1 larger horse. Horses can possibly be decorated/dressed to fit a themed shoot.  

Directions

We've include some directions from surrounding towns to help you find us. Most GPS/map apps will get you to our driveway by using either "5463 Moody Bridge Rd, Ludowici, GA" or "Sticky Limb Stables".  

From Hinesville

Take GA Hwy 196 west from Hinesville approximately 1.1 miles past the light at West 15th Street/Airport Road (Handyland Exxon & Food Lion). Turn left onto Rye Patch Road (in middle of second curve) and drive for approximately 6.4 miles. Turn left onto Moody Bridge Road (dirt) at the Rye Patch Baptist Church. Travel approximately 350 yards on Moody Bridge Road. When you see the horses on your right, take the next entrance.

From Ludowici

Take Elim Church Road from town 1.8 miles to Lanier Road. Turn left onto Lanier Road and travel approximately 3.6 miles to a 4 way stop intersection. Turn left onto Darwell Long Road and travel approximately 2.4 miles. Turn left onto Rye Patch Road. Drive 1.2 miles and turn left onto Moody Bridge Road (dirt) at the Rye Patch Baptist Church. Travel approximately 350 yards on Moody Bridge Road. When you see the horses on your right, take the next entrance.

From Glennville

Take GA Hwy 196 eastbound from Glennville approximately 11.8 miles. Turn right onto Smiley Cross Road. Take Smiley Cross Road approximately 3.5 miles. Turn right onto Rye Patch Road. Drive 0.2 miles and turn left onto Moody Bridge Road (dirt) at the Rye Patch Baptist Church. Travel approximately 350 yards on Moody Bridge Road. When you see the horses on your right, take the next entrance.
