Christine was born on Fort Campbell, KY as an "Army brat" and her family later moved to Fort Ord California. It was then around 1980 at 7 years old, her mother took her to the stables to see the horses on the post stables. From that point on, she would walk down to the stables by herself to groom horses or clean stalls, and in return, the horse owners would walk her around on their horses.

Around 1982, her family moved to Maryland near Aberdeen Proving Grounds. There was not a farm nearby so she didn't get to ride again until her family went to Germany where she rode at a place called Frankenhof in Niederwerrn, ouside of Schweinfurt, which was about 60 miles east of Frankfurt.

Later, back in Maryland, she wanted to be around horses again and when she was able to drive at 16, she walked into a local horse rescue center called Days End Farms, and volunteered to work for riding time. She moved to Georgia after she turned 18 and around 1996/1997 she owned B&G Stables west of Glennville located at the Holland Livestock Auction premises. She also sometimes helped on her sister's farm, the Lazy G ranch in Gumbranch, GA. She joined the Air National Guard and was part of the 117th Air Refueling Wing on Hunter AAF for a time until her husband at the time received orders to Germany.

Thomas grew up in Pennsylvania and sometimes helped out on his grandfather's dairy farm as a kid. He used to work summers baling hay with his grandfather, cleaning stalls, feeding the cows, milking the cows, etc. He graduated high school and attended Pennsylvania College of Technology for an AAS in Horticulture/Business Management. He worked for Wendy's, Country Markey Nursery, & TruGreen Chemlawn. He later enlisted in the US Army and spent 8 years as a Military Policeman (2 tours to Camp Humphreys, ROK and 6 yrs at Fort Stewart) and spent time as the BN Information Management Officer's assistant, helping with repairing computers, maintaining backups on the BN servers, and taking Help Desk calls. While assigned at Fort Stewart, in May 2001, a friend in the unit got him into volunteer firefighting. He then decided to attend the Georgia Fire Academy in December 2003 as he got out of the Army as a Sergeant (E-5) and started working as a dispatcher on Fort Stewart from February 2004 through September 2004. He started working for the Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield Fire Department in September 2004 as a firefighter at Hunter Army Airfield. He earned his EMT in 2006, transferred to Fort Stewart in January 2010, was promoted to Driver/Operator (LT) around April 2018 and to Captain in January 2021.

Thomas and Christine met in 2007 through MySpace. Their second date was a trail ride together at Gene McCarn's farm where she was boarding her horses. They attempted to buy the old Lazy G Ranch property in 2012, but could not come to an agreement on the price after a 2 year lease. So they started looking for another place of their own and found the location on Moody Bridge Road. We officially bought the current property on August 11, 2014 and opened the business in April 2015.

We've unofficially rescued horses as we've been offered them or came across them, or found someone to take them in to rehab them. Some have stayed with us until they crossed the rainbow bridge, while others went to good homes.

In the fall of 2023, we were contracted by the Georgia Equine Rescue League (GERL) to bring horses to an event at the Fort Stewart Bits N Bridles stables being led by Equine Immersion Project. They loved how well mannered and comfortable our horses were and invited us back in March 2024 as the sole provider of horses for the event. We joined GERL as members that same month and hope to continue these sessions with them and EIP on Fort Stewart for the foreseeable future.
